Funding Priorities in the Treasure Valley

Your charitable gifts to St. Luke’s have helped us purchase medical equipment, support wellness and prevention programs for all ages, and meet our patients' needs for expert care. From screening mammography to complex heart surgery to hospice care, it’s all about what’s best for our patients…and those who love them.

Ortho: Caring at Every Step and Empowering Lives

Helping you get back to living, St. Luke’s Orthopedics can treat injuries to your bones, muscles, ligaments, or joints and help you reduce chronic pain due to a variety of conditions. Our goal is to support and improve your quality of life with increased strength and mobility. We can also help determine if surgery is appropriate and necessary.

Your gift to St. Luke’s Orthopedics will support programs and professional development that make this great care possible.

Caring for Every Child

At the heart of St. Luke’s Children’s is the belief that all children should have access to high quality health care, regardless of their condition or their family’s ability to pay. As Idaho’s only Children’s Hospital, St. Luke’s is home to hundreds of pediatric providers who deliver expert care to young patients throughout our region. Your gift to St. Luke’s Children’s will help us expand access to primary and specialty pediatric services.

Saving Hearts, Touching Lives

The first open-heart surgery in Idaho was performed at St. Luke’s in 1968. Today, more people turn to us for heart and vascular care than any other hospital in the state. Technology is advancing rapidly, and our regional population is growing. St. Luke’s Heart is not only keeping pace, but is leading the field.

As a regional referral center for acute, outpatient, preventive and rehabilitative services, your gift will help St. Luke’s Heart upgrade technology, facilities, and expand services. Investing in St. Luke’s Heart will allow us to continue our tradition of providing high quality, effective, comprehensive patient care and attracting and retaining expert cardiovascular physicians and staff.

Building Hope for Cancer Patients

St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, formerly known as St. Luke's MSTI, was founded in 1971 when the field of oncology was in its infancy. Today we’re Idaho’s largest provider of cancer services and a nationally recognized leader in cancer research, delivering skilled, compassionate, leading-edge care for thousands of patients and their families every year.

Your gift to St. Luke’s Cancer Institute will help us upgrade technology and facilities in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Fruitland, expand services at our children’s cancer center in Boise, and increase outreach services for people in rural and underserved communities.

Hospice Care at the End of Life

St. Luke’s Hospice provides compassionate, comforting, end-of-life care, meeting each patient’s individual wishes and needs, enabling them to die peacefully — and to live as fully as possible until the moment of death. Your gift will help us continue this important work.

Patient Assistance

Imagine being ill and unable to afford gas for your car to make your daily trips to chemotherapy or radiation. Or missing work due to prolonged illness, sometimes for months at a time. Imagine not having a place to stay when you bring your child to Boise for surgery. Your gift to the Patient Assistance Fund will help cover costs such as meal vouchers, gas cards, temporary housing, and medication — making a lifesaving difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
