To build our new hospital, we are:
- Using 2,714,400 bricks. It would take 2,430 bricks stacked on top of each other to reach from the Snake River to the bottom of the Perrine Bridge, and 2,250 bricks laid end to end to span the bridge. The Perrine Bridge is 1,500 feet long and 486 feet above Snake River.
- Moving 352,000 cubic yards of earth.
- Blasting and crushing 40,000 cubic yards of rock.
- Pouring 20,000 cubic yards of concrete (or 25 acres of 6-inch thick concrete).
- Using 8,560,000 pounds of steel.
