EZ Detect KitFree Home Screening Kits
for Colorectal Disease

St. Luke’s Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) provides free home screening kits for colorectal disease to the communities we serve. These kits are made available thanks to the generous support of the Brian Olson Memorial Golf Classic, through the St. Luke's Health Foundation.

The home screening test detects hidden blood in the stool, an early warning sign of colorectal cancer and other conditions such as ulcers, polyps, colitis, and diverticulitis. The test is easy to use and is performed in the privacy of your own home.

Brian OlsenAbout Brian Olson
Brian Olson was only 39 years old when he died of colorectal cancer. He left behind a wife, two young sons, and countless people he touched in his all-too-short life. Nine years later, Brian continues to touch lives, thanks to his friends.

In the years since his death, the Brian Olson Memorial Golf Classic has given more than $230,000 to St. Luke’s Mountain State’s Tumor Institute (MSTI) to promote education, prevention, and screening for colorectal cancer.

Thanks to these funds, St. Luke’s MSTI has distributed thousands of free home screening kits to community members, including more than 9,300 in 2009 alone. Brian Olson funds are also used to pay for colonoscopies and additional testing for people who are at risk for colorectal cancer but have limited incomes or lack health insurance.
